Sunpro Ignition Starter Editorial Review
The Sunpro Actron CP7853 Remote Starter Switch is a versatile tool that can be used on both automatic and manual vehicles. It provides an easy way to start the engine for testing purposes. The switch is made in China, despite previous claims of being made in the USA. It has a trigger end that extends 68" from the clips, allowing for flexibility in use. However, there are some concerns about the switch's effectiveness. Some users have reported issues with melting wires or not enough power to turn the starter. The switch is rated at 10A, which is Considered low for connecting directly to the battery. It is recommended to use a heavy battery positive lead instead of connecting it to the battery. One user even returned the product and purchased another switch with thicker wires. In terms of compatibility, the switch is expected to work with inboard boat motors as it simply closes the circuit. It is also mentioned that the switch is similar to the one used by Derek from Vise Grip Garage. Overall, the Sunpro Actron CP7853 Remote Starter Switch is a useful tool for automobile mechanics but may have limitations when it comes to powering starters with higher amperage.
