What is the HI-FLOAT Balloon Treatment and how does it work?

HI-FLOAT Balloon Treatment is a specially formulated solution designed to significantly extend the float time of helium-filled latex balloons. When applied to the inside of the balloon before inflating, it creates a protective layer that minimizes helium loss through the balloon's porous surface. This means your balloons will stay inflated and maintain their festive appearance for longer. Ideal for parties and events, this treatment can keep your decorations looking impressive throughout the occasion.

How many balloons can I treat with a 16 Oz bottle of HI-FLOAT?

A 16 Oz bottle of HI-FLOAT can treat up to 100 11-inch latex balloons. This makes it a cost-effective solution for large gatherings, events, or decorations, ensuring you have enough product to keep your balloons buoyant and visually striking. Each treated balloon can float for several times longer than untreated ones, enhancing your event's aesthetic for birthdays, weddings, or corporate functions.

Is HI-FLOAT Balloon Treatment safe for use around children and pets?

Yes, HI-FLOAT Balloon Treatment is non-toxic and biodegradable, making it safe for use in environments with children and pets. This can give you peace of mind when decorating for events where little ones might be present. Always apply the solution according to the instructions for the best results, but rest assured that it does not pose a health risk when used appropriately.

Can I use HI-FLOAT with foil balloons as well as latex balloons?

No, HI-FLOAT is specifically designed for latex balloons. Foil balloons do not have the same porous surface and therefore do not benefit from the treatment. If you want to maximize the float time of your party decorations, use HI-FLOAT on your latex balloons, and opt for standard handling techniques for foil balloons to keep them inflated.

How long will my treated balloons last compared to untreated balloons?

Treated balloons can last significantly longer—often up to 25 times longer—compared to untreated latex balloons. While untreated balloons typically float for around 12 to 20 hours, treated ones can remain in the air for days, making them perfect for events lasting multiple days or for decorations that need to remain beautiful and upright throughout the full event duration.

How do I apply HI-FLOAT Balloon Treatment correctly?

To apply HI-FLOAT, pour a small amount (just enough to cover the inside) into the balloon before inflating. Then, swirl the balloon to coat the interior surface. Finally, inflate the balloon as usual. This method ensures an even distribution of the treatment, optimizing the seal it creates. A proper application will considerably enhance the float time, allowing your decorations to shine longer.

Is HI-FLOAT environmentally friendly?

Absolutely! HI-FLOAT is non-toxic and biodegradable, making it an environmentally friendly choice for your balloon needs. Unlike many traditional sealants, it breaks down naturally instead of harming the environment. This is important for conscientious consumers looking to minimize their ecological footprint while still enjoying festive balloons at their events.

Can HI-FLOAT be used on balloons for outdoor events?

Yes, HI-FLOAT can be used for balloons at outdoor events, but it is important to consider the temperature and weather conditions. Extreme heat or wind can affect the longevity of balloons, even when treated. However, using HI-FLOAT will help to combat helium loss, allowing your outdoor decorations to remain vibrant and floating longer than they otherwise would.

What sizes and types of balloons can be treated with HI-FLOAT?

HI-FLOAT is most effective on standard latex balloons, particularly those around 11 inches in diameter, but it can also be used on smaller latex balloons. However, it is not suitable for foil or Mylar balloons. This versatility allows you to customize your decorations for various occasions, whether for birthdays, graduations, or corporate events.
