Nutritionist's Take
FixiC Freestyle Adhesive Patches are designed to securely hold continuous glucose monitoring sensors in place, enhancing their functionality. Nutritionists appreciate the waterproof and pre-cut features, which promote ease of use for individuals with diabetes. However, these patches do not provide nutritional benefits directly, as they are not consumable items. They may contain adhesive materials that could cause skin irritation in some users, which is a potential drawback. While the product is suitable for a variety of glucose monitoring systems, consumers should consider any sensitivities they may have to certain adhesives. Overall, the patches can be a helpful accessory for those managing glucose levels, but one must ensure compatibility and personal comfort for optimal health outcomes.
Fixic Bandages & Bandaging Supplies Editorial Review
The Fixic Freestyle Libre Adhesive Patch protects the sensor from external damage and keeping the machine from falling off the arm. The patch is easy to apply and waterproof, making it ideal for swimming and showering. The adhesive lasts from 7 to 14 days, depending on the skin type, and it can be used to cover Dexcom g6 sensors. However, the patch isn't suitable for covering the hole in Libre Freestyle 2 sensors, which could cause damage. The patch has some great features, although some reviewers found the edges tended to unravel before time to remove or that it didn't stick well for the full seven days.
