hygger Aquarium Heaters HG802 Editorial Review
The hygger 802 Aquarium Titanium Heater Tube Heating Element Replacement Heater Rod is an ideal tube replacement for your hygger 802-500 watt heater with ic controller. The length of the heating tube is 12-1/4", and the maximum diameter is 1", with an additional 1-1/2" for the wire coming out to clear. Although the included suction cups can add 5/8" to the maximum diameter, they are of poor quality and don't adhere well. This product has received mixed reviews from customers, with complaints about it dying within a few months, tripping breakers, and not putting out enough heat for a 500w heater. However, some customers have used it with an INKBIRD controller with success. Overall, the hygger 802 Aquarium Titanium Heater Tube Heating Element Replacement Heater Rod is suitable for use if appropriately paired with a reliable temperature controller.
