The metronome has a pop-out metal stand and its beat increments are variable, so users can adjust the beats by turning the knob. The metronome beats 60 times in a minute when set to 60 bpm and 120 times in a minute when set to 120 bpm. It features an electronically generated wood block sound, not a tinny one. The product requires a 9V battery, which is not included, and does not have a volume control. It has distinct, almost loud, sounds but that can be adjusted with a piece of tape over the speaker. The blinking light cannot be turned off and there are three options for sounds and light. The battery compartment is the entire back of the metronome, making it easy to replace the battery.
