The Aquagear Filter Pitcher is a recyclable water filter, effective in removing toxic inorganic minerals such as heavy metals while leaving in healthy trace minerals like calcium and magnesium. The product claims to remove fluoride, but there are doubts about its effectiveness. It has not yet been submitted for NSF certification. Compared to ZeroWater, the Aquagear filter doesn't leave a foul smell after weeks of use, and its filter life is around six months. While the replacement filter looks similar to that of Clearly Filtered, they are not interchangeable. The product effectively removes Chromium 6, and a full verified list of contaminants that can be extracted can be found on its website. Overall, the Aquagear Filter Pitcher is reasonably priced, efficient with several satisfied customers.
