PAC Radio Accessories RP5-GM31 Editorial Review
The RP5-GM31 Radio Replacement Interface allows the chimes to function via a small speaker included in the kit, making OnStar to function with the new head unit. It is compatible with Bose and OnStar for most GM cars 07 and later, but not for Chrysler vehicles. The instructions provided are relatively poor, so professional install is recommended. However, wires are individually labeled, and a video tutorial is available. On the downside, customers have reported losing controls/interface to the rear entertainment center, and steering wheel controls only give radio volume up/down. All in all, it is a product that can do what it is supposed to do, but some customers have reported it not working as stated.
