Answer: As long as your binoculars or the binocular adapter have a standard 1/4"-20 threaded mount, they should be able to attach to the SquidGrip. If your binoculars are very large and/or heavy, they may cause the tripod to be unstable and top-heavy. -

Is it true that the only way ani -phone can be attached is in landscape mode, & to use in portrait mode you have to turn the whole mounting sideways?
Answer: Yes, the phone mount only opens wide enough to accommodate the width of a phone, not the length. If you would like to shoot in portrait orientation, the ball head is adjusted to turn the phone mount 90 degrees. -

can this be used with a point and shoot camera?
Answer: A small point and shoot camera will be compatible with the SquidGrip tripod as long as it has a standard 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom. Please note that the camera must be threaded onto the ball head or the SquidGrip legs. The phone mount will not hold a point and shoot camera. -
