Hello, is this suitable for analog audio connection?
Answer: Yes, this would work fine. You could use a CAT 5e cable which is twisted pairs, or you could use a shielded wire such as Beldon 9451. For shielded wire, you only connect the shield on one end, and leave it open on the other end. Wire diameter range can be used in Cable Specification: 28-20 AWG/0.15-0.5mm2. So the size of 24-28AWG can be used normally. One common ground point is recommended to eliminate hum. -

Answer: If you mean schematic diagram, you should not need one since the Printed Circuit board is labeled with each connection. I did a search on the internet for the part and was not able to find either electrical or mechanical drawings. However, if you are just interested in wiring the part, you should be able to use the labeling.

The Ambits DB25 breakout board is an effective tool for those needing to break out audio or control wires. The product does not come with a manual, but the circuit board is labelled with each connection. It is suitable for analogue audio connection using either a CAT 5e cable or a shielded wire such as Beldon 9451. The wire diameter range that can be used is 28-20 AWG/0.15-0.5mm2. Reviews found that the product is generally good quality, and easy to use. There is a learning curve, as the wire ends need to be trimmed and tinned, and the terminal arrangement makes it hard to fit wires in the corner. However, once the wires are connected, a continuity test can be passed easily. The hood is suitable for all wires to fit, but not too big to make it hard to fit in. A drawback is that the finger screws for securing the breakout board to your DB25 port are not captive, and can be backed all the way out. Despite the subpar quality of some, the product remains decent, and is still a worthwhile purchase if you plan on switching between devices.
