PROTEAR Safety Earmuffs Editorial Review
The Protear sound-suppressing AM/FM radio headset has garnered a range of feedback from customers, reflecting a mix of satisfaction and some disappointment regarding noise suppression and durability. Many users appreciate the comfort and ease of use of the headset, especially favoring it over traditional earplugs, which can cause discomfort after prolonged wear. This headset seems particularly popular among users engaging in outdoor tasks, like mowing the lawn or working in the yard, as it allows them to listen to their favorite AM/FM stations while minimizing noise exposure. A significant number of reviewers highlight the comfort provided by the full-sized design. They value how it doesn't bother their ears or head while being worn, making it suitable for extended use. Furthermore, they report that the headset effectively drowns out the sound of lawn mowers and other electric equipment, although some users note that it's not as effective against gas-operated machinery. On the downside, some users have expressed frustration with the noise suppression capabilities compared to other brands, particularly citing a need to increase volume to hear over external sounds. Others have reported operational issues, such as the headset automatically shutting off after a few days of use, leading to dissatisfaction with its build quality. This divergence in experiences suggests that while the headset may meet the needs of casual users, those seeking high-level noise cancellation might be better suited to other products. Overall, the Protear headset seems to be a decent choice for those looking for a comfortable, dual-purpose device, though potential buyers should weigh the mixed reviews regarding its noise isolation and durability. **
