The Yakima KeelOver Canoe Racks are a reliable rooftop mounted canoe rack that carry one canoe securely. The product is not recommended for a sit-on-top kayak as the profile of the clamps accepts a canoe's gunwales, which may not fit the rounded gunwales of a kayak. The product comes with bow and stern straps and two keep straps making the transportation of your canoe easy and secure. The gunwale brackets can fit just about any roof rack crossbar with an improved design that is tightened securely. A previous version used a cam-type system instead of the current simple plastic buckle for the bow and stern straps. Customers found the Yakima KeelOver Canoe Racks to be easy to install and a simple but very effective design for transporting their canoe securely. However, one customer was disappointed that the product did not come with locks and suggested that the plastic nylon Construction may not be durable.
