The Gilmour Double Female Brass Swivel Connector is designed to connect two hoses with a 1/2" female pipe thread and a 3/4" female garden hose thread respectively. The all-brass Construction suggests it is lead-free, but it is not certified for portable water. It can be used to connect a garden hose to a 1/2" male pipe thread faucet supply line, but not suitable for connecting to a 1/2" brass nipple. The connector comes without a gasket but installing one should make a proper seal. Though some customers experienced breakage within hours of use, others had success using it to replace a leaking plastic connector.
