New Balance Baseball & Softball Editorial Review
The New Balance Men's 4040 V5 Metal Baseball Shoes have received a predominantly positive reception from customers, highlighting their comfort, support, and style. Many parents purchasing these shoes for their high school baseball players appreciate the excellent ankle support, especially for players with specific foot conditions like flat feet. One reviewer noted a significant improvement in their son's pitching mechanics after switching from Nike shoes that didn't provide the necessary support. The wide-fit option has also been praised, with customers expressing satisfaction with the spaciousness it offers, although a few have noted that it doesn't feel as wide as expected. Notably, the shoes are deemed stylish, holding up well in both performance and aesthetics, while also being competitively priced compared to other brands like Nike. Additionally, some users have found creative uses for the shoes outside of baseball, such as using them for mowing. However, there are minor concerns regarding the fit for very wide feet and the heel's stiffness, which some found uncomfortable during longer wear. Despite these issues, the overall Consensus is that the shoes provide great value and performance for both baseball players and general use. **
