NRS Gloves Editorial Review
The NRS Catalyst Glove has garnered positive feedback from customers who appreciate its comfort, grip, and insulation for paddling activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and rafting. Users have highlighted the pre-curved design, which enhances the overall handling of the paddle, and the dry lining that keeps hands warm and dry, especially welcomed during chilly fall outings. Many reviewers note that these gloves offer warmth and good dexterity, allowing for precise movements while paddling. Furthermore, customers have commended the ease of slipping the gloves on and off, as well as how well they seal with dry suit wrist gaskets, which is crucial for maintaining waterproof integrity. However, some users have experienced sizing issues, indicating that the gloves may run small. A hand size of 7.5"L x 3.5"W, typically categorized as medium by NRS, fits better in a large size, and there have also been remarks about the thumb length. Another critical point is that while they perform well in moderately cold temperatures, they may not adequately protect against very cold conditions, such as those below 40 F, especially with windchill, due to the lack of a laminated exterior that could fend off wind. Overall, the NRS Catalyst Glove excels in comfort and usability for warmer paddling conditions but should be Considered with caution for extreme cold weather use. **
