This Life The Complete Collection [DVD] [2016]

In an editorial review of the product, it is apparent that Consumer reception is decidedly mixed. This series, while nostalgic for some, particularly those who enjoyed it in the 90s, elicits a varied response from modern viewers. Many reminisce about the joy of reconnecting with familiar characters and appreciate the initial promise of the story. The opening episodes draw in audiences with their edgy portrayal of fresh graduates entering the competitive job market in Britain. However, as the series progresses, viewers begin to express significant disappointment. Specifically, there is a Consensus that the character development falters midway through the first season, leading to inConsistencies that detract from the viewer's experience. This downward trend culminates in a bleak tone, where the fun and lightheartedness seemingly evaporate, replaced by themes of failure and conflict that ultimately dissuade some viewers from continuing past the first series. Despite its initial allure, the show seems to struggle to maintain momentum, leading to a shorter run and, as suggested, a lack of commitment from some actors. This leaves a bittersweet taste for those who had high hopes for the series, with many choosing to part ways before reaching the conclusion. **
