Stronghold Games Board Games SSCC1SG Editorial Review
The "Clever Cubed" board game from Stronghold Games has received positive feedback from fans of the "That's Pretty Clever" series. Players have highlighted its engaging gameplay that ingeniously blends strategy with a healthy dose of randomness, effectively creating a dynamic experience. Many reviewers appreciate that it remains suitable for couples and family game nights alike, often heralding it as the best installment in the series due to its slightly increased complexity and depth. Customers note that, while some initial confusion about the rules may arise—especially for newcomers—those familiar with the previous games in the series find it much easier to adapt. The suggestion to utilize video demonstrations or the app version for solo play has been a helpful resource for some users as they navigate the game's nuances. The game's mix of strategic decisions, dice mechanics, and the thrill of luck resonates with players, making it a popular choice for both quick matches that can be spaced within an hour and longer gaming sessions. Critics of "Clever Cubed" have pointed out its complexity compared to its predecessors; however, they also appreciate that the additional challenges introduce new strategic layers. Overall, players anticipate further expansions or sequels, indicating a strong enthusiasm around the game's concept and execution. **
