Fotodiox Soft Boxes 8-in-softbox Editorial Review
**** The softbox designed for speedlights has garnered a favorable reception from customers, primarily for its ability to effectively diffuse light and enhance the quality of photographs across various settings. Users have highlighted its ease of attachment and reliable performance when used with popular models like the Canon Speedlight 430 EX II. Photographers appreciate how this accessory softens harsh flash light, resulting in more flattering and evenly lit images, making it particularly valuable for direct flash portraits, macro photography, and even wedding photography. Many reviewers noted its compact design, which allows for flat folding and easy storage in camera bags, despite it being slightly large for some users' backpacks. The velcro closure system has received praise for its adjustability, though it requires some initial practice to secure it properly around the flash head. While the softbox works effectively to enhance photo quality by creating a broader light source and reducing the harshness of shadows, there are criticisms regarding its price point relative to its overall utility. Some users felt that, despite its affordable price under $15, it could still seem slightly expensive when compared to more substantial light kits. Additionally, there were mentions of a hotspot affecting uniformity in lighting and potential durability concerns regarding the elastic strap over time. In summary, this softbox has proven to be a versatile and valuable tool for photographers looking to improve their flash lighting without the bulk of larger equipment. **
