The Makita compound miter saw is a reliable tool that is powerful and accurate. It can cut through 4x4s and 2x6s if rolled up. The saw may need some adjustments here and there but it is accurate enough, and it is a great value for money. Unfortunately it only uses 120 volts so it can't be used with 220 volts. The saw is lightweight and versatile. However, its degree markings are just a sticker that rubs off easily making it difficult to read them. The design does not allow for a crown molding stopper and one of the bolt holes is not aligned so it can only be tightened in three corners. It is recommended for novice carpenters or professionals who are seeking a reliable tool for their projects.
