Prothane Bushings Editorial Review
The Prothane 6-1168 Front Sway Bar Bushing Kit has garnered a mix of positive praise and some criticisms from customers for its impact on vehicle performance and ease of installation. Generally, users are impressed by the noticeable improvements in ride quality and handling after replacing their stock rubber bushings. Many comment on the straightforward installation process, requiring only basic tools and about an hour of time. The ride is described as feeling more controlled, especially during cornering, with several users noting a reduction in body roll and improved stability at higher speeds. The upgraded material quality compared to factory parts is also a frequently mentioned benefit, highlighting its durability and the enhanced driving experience it provides. However, the product is not without its issues. A few reviewers pointed out that the bushings can produce squeaks, which detracts from the overall satisfaction and prompts some users to seek alternatives. While the installation generally receives high marks, challenges do exist, such as needing to warm the bushings for fitment. Despite these minor drawbacks, the majority of feedback tilts towards a positive reception. In summary, the Prothane bushing kit is well-regarded for its ease of installation and substantial performance upgrades, making it a favored choice among truck owners looking to enhance their vehicle's handling. **
