The lid closes softly and cannot be propped open. The container itself is Stainless Steel and the trim of the container is black. The black plastic liner in the Rubbermaid Slim Jim is completely and easily removable for cleaning. The bag size for the Rubbermaid Commercial Impressions™ Step-On Container is 10 gallons. The can is easy to use, clean and very durable. It is a great product that looks great and can hold enough garbage for a week or more. Some customers noted the tight squeeze when stretching the bag over the last corner and the difficulty to remove the huge label from the front of the can. One customer said it was worth the higher price.
