Product Details
- The Forestone Hinoki Alto Saxophone Medium (M) is made of a special material blend of synthetic resin and wood fiber, with over 50% bamboo for exceptional sound, resilience, and flexibility.
- The reeds are produced through a proprietary process, resulting in uniform and consistent smooth vamps with a tapered profile and minimal difference in feel compared to traditional cane reeds.
- Blowing resistance of the reeds can be adjusted by slightly raising or lowering them on the mouthpiece table, and the material is durable, impervious to saliva breakdown, and resistant to warping from humidity or altitude changes.
- The Forestone Hinoki Alto Saxophone Medium (M) is available in various models including Traditional, Hinoki, Black Bamboo, and White Bamboo, each offering different sound characteristics and playing experiences.
- The Traditional model provides a bright round sound and easy playing, the Hinoki model yields a lively response and more dynamic range, the Black Bamboo model offers more resistance and control with a dark classical sound, and the White Bamboo model is an all-rounder suitable for all styles with its lively response and free sound.
- The longevity of Forestone reeds varies by player but generally outlasts cane reeds, and when they become less responsive, it's time to replace them with a new one.
