The waterer and feeder can stand on their own and both have recommendations to be positioned at shoulder height for the birds. The feeder opening is designed to allow one chicken at a time access to the feed and five chickens can empty it in about five days when filled halfway. However, there have been complaints of the gravity concept failing due to the weight of the feeder when filled to the top. Additionally, some customers have reported leaking cups on the waterer after a few months of use. In such cases, a new cup can be purchased individually at an affordable price and replaced. Although the RentACoop Twin Cup Chicken Waterer and Feeder Set does not have an option for an additional port on the feeder, it is goat-proof, according to the RentACoop Team.
