The inner bags capture the pesky dust and hair, so your outer cloth bag won't get clogged. If you only use the cloth bag, it will emit a lot of dust, making it tough to wash out. Overall, the bags are reliable, inexpensive, and easy to install. However, they only work with the available adapter or if you create one out of cardboard.
