The Balios Umbrella is designed in the UK but made in China. They are made of good quality and make for great gifts as the quality is immediately noticeable. The handle is a beautiful polished wood with highly detailed metal trim. However, the umbrella itself has a significantly smaller canopy than what's advertised, with it being 37'' when measured across the flat sides and 40'' when measured from tip to tip. The collapsed dimension is also slightly larger than what's described as it measures 14-3/8''. The wooden handle may be slightly difficult to grasp for people with small hands, and it won't resist the slightest wind. Based on the reviews, the umbrella is of high quality, sturdy, and feels premium, making it a practical, compact, and portable option for daily use or in case of an emergency.
