The Rancho RS5420 RS5000 Steering Damper w/Loop Bushing Sleeve Mount is an aftermarket replacement for OEM dampers. It claims to have better quality and performance than the stock version. However, one customer was disappointed to find that it did not provide any noticeable improvement over the OEM damper and was even more expensive. They were also unhappy with the return policy and felt misled by the claims of this being an upgrade. On the other hand, another customer purchased this damper for their 2018 Jeep JL and found that it effectively eliminated steering wobble that had been caused by a recall on the OEM damper. They were also pleased with the easy installation process and perfect fit for their vehicle.
