Answer: This is the only version of Surface Book line so far having USB-C port. However, you’re paying mostly for the dedicated graphic card NVIDIA Geforece GTX 1050 (or GTX 1060 for the 15.6”) while the last generations were built with less efficiently performing graphic cards: GTX 965M for the Surface book Performance Base (came out 2016) and the customized NVIDIA Geforce for the Surface Book (came out 2015). The customized one is said to made specifically for Microsoft and allegedly equivalent to 940M. They are just less efficient than 1050 1050Ti 1060 etc., but still pretty good for Photoshops, 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, SolidWorks... That’s how far I’ve known. -
