The thermal pads come in two different thicknesses to allow for differences in height between control chips and others. Installations should remove the tape on the surface of the heatsink.It can be tricky to install if there is limited space around the motherboard. They work well for keeping SSDs cool, as seen in temperature dips from 44C to 31/32C. Installation tools are minimal and included.
