Answer: All new A119 and A119S come with a thicker angled non-GPS mount. That's the best mount to use. GPS mount isn't required but also works from added thickensss. -

Which side goes up/ goes down? ... there is one slot longer/larger than the other?
Answer: either way has the same result, but leaving the larger slot on top is best so gravity works in your favor holding the lens in the base. -

If the camera is mounted via the gps module, will the cpl filter fit just fine?
Answer: Yes, I have both and I would say it fits better, the extra space gives the cpl filter a bit more wiggle room -

has anyone tried this item. what happens when there is no sun. is it easy to remove for night driving?
Answer: yes, I have tried it. Very easy to snap on and off, although we just leave ours on continually, since we don't do much night driving. Very necessary to have the polarized lens during daytime driving. Doesn't detract from night driving or recording. -

Does this only fit the front or does it fit the rear facing camera also?
Answer: Fits A129 rear too -

Does this work with the 2016 version of the A119?
Answer: I believe it does.. as my A119 was purchased very early 2017 so must be the 2016 model and this unit fit it.
