Taylor Meat Editorial Review
The Taylor Digital Premium High Heat Resistant Candy Thermometer has received notable praise for its accuracy and ease of use among home cooks, particularly those involved in confectionery, brewing, and cooking. Users have reported impressive results when measuring temperatures for candy making, yogurt preparation, and brewing, stressing that it is a substantial improvement over traditional thermometers. The digital display allows for easy reading, showing temperatures to the nearest tenth of a degree, which helps users monitor small changes during critical cooking processes. Several users have highlighted the thermometer's ability to clip securely onto pots and kettles, enabling hands-free operation. This feature is particularly appreciated for activities like candy making, where monitoring temperature while managing hot liquids is essential to avoid burns and ensure precision. In addition, many found it to be effective in various cooking scenarios, validating its versatility beyond just candy making. Calibration experiences were mixed; some users encountered issues when attempting to calibrate with ice water, but they noted that the thermometer continued to perform well at higher temperatures. A workaround for noted discrepancies at lower temperatures included marking the thermometer for easy reference. The device has been positively received for its sturdy Construction and reliable performance, with many noting its compatibility with induction stoves as a key benefit, expanding its usability even further. On the downside, there are mentions of the display angle being potentially hard to read if it isn't aligned correctly, and users expressed a desire for more adjustable features. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall reception is overwhelmingly positive. The combination of affordability, functionality, and design makes this thermometer a recommended tool for both novice and experienced home chefs. **
