The Bates Tactical Sport 2 Tall Side Zip Men’s Boots have garnered mixed feedback from customers, highlighting both their durability and certain comfort issues. The fit has been particularly praised, especially the availability of extra-wide sizes, which many users found made the transition into the boots smoother. Comfort levels, however, are where opinions diverge. Some users have reported discomfort, particularly related to the shaft height and the boot’s stiffness at first. While the side zipper is well-liked for ease of use, getting the boots on can be a challenge, especially since there is no easy way to grab the collar. After some breaking-in time, many feel the boots become more comfortable, though those seeking a sneaker-like feel may find them lacking in softness. Issues such as squeaking have also been highlighted, with some individuals suggesting a maintenance fix using WD-40. Overall, these boots are recommended for their quality and style, but potential buyers should weigh the comfort concerns and might Consider trying them on first to ensure an adequate fit. **
