The HealthSmart Manual Blood Pressure Monitor is a self-taking blood pressure kit that comes with a standard cuff size of 10-14 inches and an attached stethoscope. It is registered with the FDA and is a medical device. The stethoscope is accurately placed when the cuff is lined up with the arrow pointing at the vein. It is a good purchase with a well-priced and nicely packaged complete set. However, there are some concerns regarding the product's performance. The gauge of the BP cuff is not calibrated, and there is no way to calibrate it. Some customers also reported that the gauge read 26mm/hg with no pressure, and the indicator on the gauge was not zeroed out; it stacked close to 300. It is also difficult to pump up, making it challenging to use. An Amazon customer was not satisfied with this product and wanted to return it, but the product could not be returned. Another customer had to calibrate the cuff before it could be used.
