Park Tool Shop Tools Editorial Review

The Park Tool PS-1 Bicycle Disc Brake Pad Spreader is a solid and comfortable tool commonly used for resetting brake pistons. It can spread pads and pistons without removing the brake pads. Users have reported that it is particularly useful for hydraulic brakes where pistons don't come out straight, as it is good at straightening them. While it is priced right and a good value tool, some users have reported that it is thicker than expected and does not fit all bike models as advertised. The tool needs to be wiped after each use, as contamination may affect the brake pads.
