Stabilus Gas Editorial Review
The Single Stablius St4321Um Gas Spring is a popular choice for overhead cabinets and kitchen cabinets. However, some customers have experienced issues with the durability and strength of the springs. The springs have a tendency to fail after 18-24 months of use and may not be strong enough to lift heavier doors. Additionally, the stated weight capacity of 150 lbs/pair may not be accurate, as some customers have struggled to lift even 30-40 lbs. It is important to install the springs with the rod in the down position to prevent premature failure. Despite these drawbacks, the springs are relatively easy to replace and are a cost-effective option compared to alternatives that require drilling new mounting holes.
