Nutritionist's Take
NOW Foods Supplements, C-1000 & Zinc Immune is a popular product combining vitamin C and zinc, two essential nutrients known for their role in immune function and antioxidant protection. Vitamin C is critical for the synthesis of collagen and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the immune response, while zinc is involved in numerous enzymatic reactions and supports cellular function. The vegetarian capsules cater to different dietary preferences. However, potential drawbacks include the reliance on supplements rather than a whole food approach, as excessive zinc intake can lead to adverse effects, such as nausea or disruptions in copper absorption. Nutritional benefits include immune support and antioxidant properties, making it suitable for those looking to bolster their immune health, especially during seasonal changes. Consumers should consider their individual health needs and dietary intake to determine if supplementation is appropriate.
