PRIME-LINE Deadbolts U 9885 Editorial Review
The Prime-Line U 9885 Brass Plated Keyed Deadbolt Lock has garnered mixed responses from customers, showcasing its practicality alongside some design limitations. On the positive side, many users appreciate the versatility of the lock, which allows for multiple locking options including locking it open, closed, or leaving it unlocked for easy access. This feature is particularly useful for parents and grandparents who want to restrict access to certain areas, like closets where valuables are kept. Customers have noted its attractive brass finish and sturdy Construction, making it not just functional but visually appealing as well. However, the product is not without its drawbacks. Some users expressed disappointment with the misleading size information, stating that the deadbolt is smaller than expected. This has led to concerns about its suitability for certain applications, especially as an exterior lock where more robust security measures are necessary. Additionally, critiques have been made about the quality of the screws provided, suggesting they may not offer adequate durability for sturdy installation. Concerns were raised that while the lock may deter children, it does not provide sufficient security against adult intrusion. Overall, the Prime-Line U 9885 offers an effective solution for specific needs, especially in preventing child access. However, potential buyers should Consider its limitations in size and strength based on their intended use. **
