Nutritionist's Take
Amazon Basics 91% Isopropyl Alcohol serves as a powerful antiseptic, primarily used for disinfecting surfaces and skin prior to injections or minor surgical procedures. Despite its efficacy in killing bacteria and viruses, it should not be ingested or used internally due to its toxic nature. Nutritionists highlight that this product has no nutritional benefits, as it is not a food item and doesn't provide any vitamins or minerals. The main drawback is the potential for skin irritation, particularly for individuals with sensitive skin or certain allergies. While it's suitable for general household use, it doesn't cater to dietary needs as it contains no food-related ingredients. In the context of health, while it contributes to sanitization, overuse could lead to skin dryness or irritation. Therefore, consumers must understand its intended use and take precautions to avoid misuse.
