Wilton Bench Vises WL9-63144 Editorial Review
The Wilton 63218 #79A vise is a great product that is durable and easy to install. Although it is not made in the US, it is a reliable product that is worth the investment. It is advisable to go to a local store to try both mechanisms (continuous acting and quick release) to know which concept works best for you. The vise is designed to be mounted under a bench or table and is suitable for benchtops with a maximum thickness of 3 inches. However, if your benchtop is 5 inches thick, you would need to mortise it for the vise. The vise is not shipped with the jaw inserts, but they are available and can be purchased separately. It is not advisable to pull the front jaw entirely out after installing the vise.
