WOODNSHOP Veneers Editorial Review
The White Oak Quarter Sawn Veneer has garnered mixed reviews from customers who utilized it for various woodworking projects. Users praised its compatibility with staining, highlighting how seamlessly it matched their antique restorations and decor items. For instance, one user reported success in applying the veneer to an antique secretary, achieving the desired aesthetic with ease. Additionally, another customer appreciated the flawless quality of the veneer when used for an arts and crafts period clock, noting the reasonable price and condition upon arrival. However, not all experiences were wholly positive. Some customers indicated that the product did not match the expected quarter-sawn characteristics, reporting that the grain was predominantly straight with minimal character. Issues with size accuracy emerged in reviews, as several users noted inConsistencies in diameter, which ranged from 11 3/4 inches to 11 7/8 inches, along with instances of splits in the material. These deficiencies necessitated creative solutions, such as splicing the veneer or cutting off damaged edges when faced with imperfections. Despite these shortcomings, the overall sentiment remains that the veneer is usable and can be adapted to suit various project needs. Some buyers also suggested improvements in packaging, stating that a plastic cylinder would better protect the veneer during transit. **
