D'Addario Mandolin Accessories EJ62 Editorial Review
The D'Addario EJ62 8020 Bronze Mandolin Strings have garnered a positive reception among musicians, particularly for their sound quality and playability. Many users have praised these strings for their warm, rich tone and the brightness that fresh strings provide, enhancing the overall musical experience. One customer even noted a marked difference in sound quality after changing the strings, highlighting their longevity as they maintained good sound for months. The strings cater well to a variety of mandolin types, with users expressing satisfaction while using them on different instruments, including mandolas and octave mandolins. A Consistent comment across reviews is that the uniformity in tone across all four courses provides a fuller sound, likened to playing through a chorus pedal. Additionally, the light gauge of these strings has been appreciated for making playability easier on the fingers, especially for those who practice regularly or perform. However, there are some caveats. A few users reported issues with the high E string popping during tuning, although tips for mitigating this issue have been shared, suggesting a method of tuning to lower notes first to allow the strings to settle. Overall, the D'Addario EJ62 strings are well-liked for their sound and feel, making them a reliable choice for mandolin players. **
