Fernco Pipe Fittings PFT-150 Editorial Review
The Fernco PFT-150 Flexible PVC Qwik Trap has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers, especially those tackling plumbing repairs without professional help. Many reviews highlight the product's ease of use, with individuals who Consider themselves non-plumbers successfully replacing damaged pipes with minimal effort. Users appreciate the flexibility of the Qwik Trap, which allows for adjustments to accommodate various plumbing configurations without the need for extensive tools or experience. Notably, customers praise the durability of the flexible trap, expressing confidence that it will outlast their original piping. Several users detailed their experiences with repairs involving leaks or broken waste pipes, and all reported a successful installation without leaking issues following the setup. The instructions appear straightforward to follow, and many customers have figured out how to extend the trap to fit their needs, even if it initially seemed challenging. There are some limitations to be aware of, particularly regarding sizing—specifically, the PFT-150 is designed for 1.5" connections, which may not match all installations, especially larger kitchen setups. Another notable point is the temperature tolerance of the product; users are advised to avoid using hot water exceeding 140°F to maintain the integrity of the trap. Additionally, there have been isolated complaints about color discrepancies, though this does not affect the functionality. Overall, the Fernco PFT-150 is highly recommended as a cost-effective and robust alternative for basic plumbing repairs. **
