Cold Steel Swords Editorial Review
The Cold Steel MAA Italian Long Sword is a well-balanced and nimble sword made for Armored Combat techniques. It is solid and sharp, able to make single-stroke cuts on 1-inch green wood without warping or leaving marks. The sword is lightweight, weighing about 3 lbs without the sheath. The blade is stiff and strong, with little give, perfect for fighting someone in armor. The leather-wrapped wood handle could use some improvement as it can be slippery when in use but it is functional. The sword is well-designed and looks great, with a unique black bluish black coating to prevent rusting. It is a great sword for the price, and if you are planning on using it actively, the polished version may be worth the extra $60. The sword is also great for display purposes with its quality built. It is well worth its cost.
