Rokinon Camera Lenses Editorial Review
Rokinon AE85M 85mm F1.4 Lens for Canon AE (Black) is highly praised for its sharpness and the exceptional quality of images it produces, particularly when used with Canon's top models like the 5D4 and R5, showcasing its capability at a wide aperture of F1.4. However, users have noted compatibility issues with newer Canon mirrorless models such as the R6 Mark II and R10, where the AE chip in the lens fails to communicate with the camera body, leading to operational lockups. Despite these challenges, the lens remains a favorite due to its lightweight design and remarkable optical quality. In conclusion, the Rokinon AE85M lens delivers excellent performance for many photographers, albeit with some compatibility caveats.
