Jorgensen Bar Clamps 99036AC Editorial Review
**** The JORGENSEN 36-Inch Parallel Bar Clamp is a robust tool that has garnered widespread acclaim among woodworking enthusiasts. Users appreciate these clamps for their impressive holding strength, which delivers a powerful 2200 lbs of clamping force. The design features tall jaws that allow for even pressure across the workpiece, ensuring precision during glue-ups. A standout feature is their ability to function as both clamps and spreaders, providing versatility that many find invaluable in their projects. Several reviews highlight the clamps' Construction quality, often citing them as the best tools in their collections. The heavy-duty build is noted for its durability; users prefer them for long-term use in their workshops. The added glue separators that come with the product are Considered a thoughtful touch, allowing for easy adjustments without risking damage to the workpiece. However, there is a Consensus that the clamps are quite heavy, which can make them somewhat unwieldy to handle, especially when used single-handedly. This weight, while indicative of their sturdiness, has led some users to favor using them only when necessary. Despite this, the improved design over previous generations—such as the stability of the movable head—has been well-received, mitigating the risk of finger injuries that were more common before. In summary, the JORGENSEN Parallel Bar Clamps are a worthy investment for anyone serious about woodworking. Their strength, versatility, and enhanced design make them a reliable choice, though users should be prepared for the weight that comes with their sturdy Construction. **
