MakingCosmetics Surfactants & Detergents Editorial Review
**** The Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) 8.4oz is receiving favorable feedback from customers who appreciate its multiple applications and natural effectiveness. Many users have highlighted its effectiveness in creating bubbly, foamy bath bombs, with one customer even naming their creation "bubble bombs" due to the abundant bubbles produced. This versatility extends beyond bath bombs, as several users have successfully incorporated SLS into a variety of homemade products including carwash sprayers, bug sprays infused with essential oils, air fresheners, and hair care solutions. The product's ability to enhance foaming is particularly praised in spa tubs and in DIY soap preparations. Users have noted that it can even improve conventional dishwashing soap, allowing for substantial foam production at a lower cost compared to commercial alternatives. Additionally, many customers find it safe to use on dyed hair, remarking on the simplicity of its ingredient list. However, there is criticism regarding its concentration, as some users pointed out that the product contains only 28-32% active SLS, with the rest being water, which they felt was misleading given the product description. This has led to frustrations about perceived value, with a few customers citing it as overpriced compared to other options available. Despite these concerns, many strong proponents still recommend this product for its effectiveness and versatility in various applications. **
