Discovery Science Kits & Toys 70071 Editorial Review
** Discovery Crystal Growing Aquarium by Horizon Group USA** The Discovery Crystal Growing Aquarium offers a hands-on, colorful introduction to the world of crystal growth, making it a fascinating DIY STEM project for families. Many parents found the product sturdy and well-made, providing an engaging way to spend time with children. The excitement of watching crystals grow can lead to moments of anticipation, as kids frequently check on their creations, often fueling enthusiasm for further exploration of the science behind crystals. However, the experience isn’t without its challenges. Users noted that the process can be somewhat labor-intensive, often requiring adult supervision and involvement. Breaking the larger rocks into smaller pieces proved difficult for younger children, leading to some frustration during the activity. Instructions were also criticized for lacking clarity, with some parents suggesting they could have benefited from better science explanations surrounding the crystal-growing solution. While many enjoyed the project and found the end product visually appealing, others faced setbacks such as incomplete crystal growth or issues with the aquarium's integrity. This diverse reception indicates that while the Discovery Crystal Growing Aquarium has significant educational potential and brings joy to many young scientists, it may require some patience and experimentation to achieve optimal results. **
