Broadway & Vocalists 25291524 Editorial Review
Evita New Broadway Cast Recording features an impressive array of performances, particularly by Elena Roger, who brings a unique emotional depth to her role as Eva. Her portrayal showcases her Latin American heritage and she transitions from the innocent Miss Duarte to the staunch Evita with great skill. Listeners can appreciate the sharp diction and clarity that allows them to hear every lyric, making this two-disc set a remarkable experience. Ricky Martin shines as Che, offering a fresh take and emotional resonance that captivates. This recording not only captures the essence of the live show but also includes a complete libretto, enhancing the overall value of the album.
