Leisure Locks Locks Editorial Review
The RV Travel Trailer Entry Door Lock Polar Black Paddle Deadbolt is a durable and sturdy lock that is very easy to install. This lock comes with four keys and is made of steel that offers a good level of security to the trailer owner. It is a direct replacement of the FIC brand, with similar components and similar key. However, the tumbler can be a little tough to turn but can be fixed with the help of WD40. The lock is not suitable for a 13' Scamp as the locking bolt has to be fitted into the door jamb, and it's better to opt for a lock with an enclosed cap that screws to the inside wall of the camper. These are single-sided wafer locks than can be picked in about 30 seconds by a novice. Locking it is more of an annoyance to yourself than it is a preventative to a thief. If you want to buy two locks, you can have them keyed the same. However, the lock is not suitable for motorhomes as they take a different type of latch for their door. If you need extra blank keys, it is better to Consult a locksmith. Overall, the RV Travel Trailer Entry Door Lock Polar Black Paddle Deadbolt is an excellent purchase for those who are looking for a durable and robust lock for their trailer.
